Grass fed Tallow (South Dakota sourced) & USDA Organic Avocado Oil infused with herbal blend of Yarrow, Lavender, Calendula, Comfrey, Plantain, & Rose Petal; Beeswax
-
Tallow is naturally abundant in vitamins A, D, E, and K as well as stearic and oleic fatty acids and saturated fat.
The composition of beef tallow is similar to natural oils produced by skin, making it a great moisturizer and a wonderful asset for use on sensitive skin. The high amounts of Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), an omega-6 fat found in animal fats, and other vitamins and nutrients in tallow are believed to help to lock in moisture, reduce oxidation, and potentially improve skin’s elasticity and appearance.
Our tallow is sourced locally and raised on the South Dakota prairie along the Missouri River and the Big Sioux River. Knippling Land and Cattle and Little C Farms both of are multigenerational family ranches that take pride in the quality cattle that they raise free ranged on the prairie. We slow-render every batch on our homestead.
This balm is nourishing to your skin, but also highly shelf stable (Variations in texture are common). Whipped tallow balms may change consistency if exposed to heat. Though the texture can flatten, the balm remains perfectly good to use.
See our Store Policy page for tips on restoring a whipped texture.
